Launch Day

It's 11PM and July 4th is an hour away. This year is a big Fourth of July for our country. It's the 250th birthday. As crazy as that is, it really makes me think about all this country has gone through and seen. From good and bad. I truly believe most learning in one's life comes from failures. Winning and success does not teach you much. It's great, but not the best teacher. Failure is the teacher of all teachers. It's the Harvard PHD with 50 years of experience teacher. As a country, I believe we are great, because we have failed.
One area I believe we've failed is almost encouraging all manufacturing to be sent overseas. It's obliterated communities, destroyed careers, and has us addicted to cheap and fast everything. More is not always better.
No, I'm not pointing fingers. I'm guilty of it too. My wife is worse but I'm guilty also...
I just see the value of supporting your neighbors. In this instance your neighbors are your fellow Americans. Not everyone is destined to be a doctor or lawyer. Some are craftsman and laborers. How must they have felt during the great manufacturing exodus?
As launch day approaches quickly, I sit with everything I've accomplished in the last 60 days. Not as a brag, but as proof that things can be made here. The brands we all love and know can be making their clothes here. They are just choosing not to.
Good Days, Better Tomorrows.
